We understand that every household has unique needs. To ensure the best fit, we will interview and select a helper based on your:
Any other specific requirements or needs
Tips for interviewing a suitable FDW for your needs:
1. Understand her motivation:
Ask why she wants to work in Singapore. Does she need to support her family? This can give you insight into her work ethic and long-term commitment.
2. Assess her cooking skills:
Inquire about her ability to cook specific dishes you often prepare at home. This helps ensure she can meet your dietary preferences and handle cooking responsibilities effectively.
3. Discuss housework routine:
Ask how she plans to organize and manage housework. This will give you an idea of her organizational skills and how she approaches daily chores.
These questions can help you gauge if the helper aligns with your household needs and values.
We take care of the details so you can focus on more important things!
Employers' Orientation Programme (EOP)
You must attend this programme if you are hiring a migrant domestic worker for the first time. The Employers' Orientation Programme is a 3-hour programme that will help you understand your role and responsibilities as an employer of a migrant domestic worker (MDW).
First-time employers must complete the EOP at least 2 working days before submitting a Work Permit application.
Settling-in Programme (SIP) for first-time MDWs
The Settling-in Programme (SIP) is a 1-day orientation programme for first-time MDWs to educate them on safety precautions and living in Singapore.
You must send your migrant domestic worker (MDW) for a medical examination before you can get her Work Permit issued.
Six-monthly medical examination (6ME) for MDWs
During your migrant domestic worker's (MDW) employment, you must send her for a medical screening every 6 months. This medical examination screens for pregnancy and infectious diseases such as syphilis, HIV and tuberculosis.
June 2025
From 1 September 2025, if there are children in your household below 7 years old who are not fully vaccinated against measles, you must ensure that your helper has immunity against measles.
